Elderberry

Elderberries are rich in antioxidants and have been used traditionally to relieve colds and boost the immune system. Elderberries contain vitamins A, B, and C, which have been shown to support immune health and function. A healthy immune system means your body is better equipped to fight off viruses, including those that cause colds and the flu.

Ingredients

Honey

Honey is rich in antioxidants and is often used traditionally to relieve digestive issues and soothe sore throats. Studies have shown that honey may help protect the heart from oxidative stress. 

Ginger

Ginger has shown in numerous clinical trials to support a healthy inflammatory response and act as a beneficial nausea aid. It is thought that ginger promotes normal production of inflammatory markers, which would explain its positive effect on the immune system and ability to promote healthy circulation.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is high in potent antioxidants and commonly used in traditional medicine for its anti-inflammatory properties. Uses include supporting digestion, blood function, immune response, and healthy glycemic response. According to modern research, cinnamon can be helpful in supporting healthy blood pressure and cholesterol in healthy adults. Another study showed cinnamon tea consumption to support healthy blood glucose levels. As a mucilage containing herb, cinnamon can soothe the GI tract and tannins found in cinnamon can help to tone the tissues of the GI tract. It also contains warming volatile oils that stimulate blood flow which can be supportive for digestive organs.

Clove

Cloves have been used to support healthy digestive, immune, and respiratory system functions. The high amount of eugenol essential oil found in cloves is responsible for the "numbing" sensation it causes, helping to soothe sore throats, gums and toothaches.

Coconut Nectar

Coconut nectar is a sweet syrup derived from the sap of the flowers of the coconut palm. With a lower glycemic index than cane sugar, honey, or agave, coconut nectar is rich in minerals including magnesium, potassium, zinc, and iron. It also contains amino acids, vitamin C, and broad-spectrum B vitamins. 

Wild Cherry Bark

Wild cherry bark contains a substance called amygdalin (also found in blackberry leaves), which makes it useful in Traditional Chinese Medicine to dry mucus, open airways, and relieve coughs.

Yerba Santa

Yerba Santa is an herb often used to soothe the symptoms of respiratory conditions. It may also relieve swelling and inflammation in the airways and lungs. Yerba santa contains chemicals that are thought to loosen mucus in the chest and relieve muscle spasms.

Hibiscus

Hibiscus is high in antioxidants that help fight free radicals (which cause damage to your cells). According to some studies, it may also help lower blood pressure and blood fat levels.

Rosehip

Rosehips are the part of the rose flower that contain the seeds. Rosehips are rich in antioxidants and high in vitamin C.

Elderflower

High in antioxidants and vitamin C, these tiny flowers are known for their ability to support healthy sinuses and respiratory systems.

Plantain

Not to be confused with the banana-like plant that is well known for its use in Caribbean cooking, the narrow leaf plantain is actually a type of herb. Narrow leaf plantain calms inflamed pathways of the respiratory, digestive, and urinary systems. Because plantain contains mucilage, it has the ability to naturally support mucous membrane health. 

Mullein

Mullein leaves are used traditionally to soothe respiratory discomfort. The flowers can also be combined with warm oil for external preparations.

Turmeric

Turmeric contains a bio-active compound with called curcumin. Curcumin is a natural anti-inflammatory and powerful antioxidant, and may also stimulate the action of other antioxidants.

Chamomile

Studies suggest that chamomile may have many health properties, including reducing inflammation in the body, relieving cold symptoms, and aiding in sleep and relaxation. It may also help relieve menstrual pain and soothe mild skin conditions.

Red Clover Blossom

Red clover blossom has been used traditionally to support of the respiratory system, proper lymphatic and endocrine function, immune support, and healthy skin. It contains important nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, niacinphosphoruspotassium, thiamine, and vitamin C. The flavanoids in this plant are often useful for menstrual irregularities and menopause.
